Accommodations/Reservations

Hotel Captain Cook. A limited number of rooms at the Hotel Captain Cook (site of all conference events) have been set aside at a special group rate for the NRITS Conference. Individuals are responsible for making their own reservations and can do so by contacting the hotel directly at (907) 276-6000 or toll free at (800) 843-1950 between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm Pacific Standard Time (PST) . Please ask for the National Rural ITS Conference. All reservations must be made on or before Tuesday, August 2, 2008. Reservations received after this date will be granted as available and the group room rate cannot be guaranteed. Room rates are as follows:

Standard hotel room - $170.00 per night, single or double occupancy (plus tax) **less than the standard government per-diem rate**
Junior Suite (separate sleeping and living room areas) - $195.00 per night single occupancy, $205 per night double occupancy (plus tax)
Executive Suite (one bedroom) - $220.00 per night single occupancy, $230 per night double occupancy (plus tax)
Executive Suite (two bedroom) - $320.00 per night single occupancy, $330 per night double occupancy (plus tax)

Please note that the group rates will be honored 2 days before and after the conference dates for those individuals wishing to extend their stay. Guest accommodations will be available at 3:00 pm on arrival day and reserved until 12:00 pm on departure day. Any attendee wishing special consideration for late checkout should inquire at the front desk on the day of departure.

About the Hotel

The Hotel Captain Cook is a luxury hotel and conference facility located in downtown Anchorage. The Voyager Hotel. For some individuals, a less expensive option may be appropriate. Located within easy walking distance to the Hotel Captain Cook (approximately 1 block), the Voyager hotel offers a small family-run hotel feel. Rooms include a kitchenette and complimentary internet is also available. Rates for 1-3 occupants are $149.00 (plus tax) per night. To make a reservation, call 1-800-247-9070.

Each of the Voyager's forty spacious guest rooms is actually a mini-suite. All rooms are air-conditioned and include cable TV, queen and full-size beds and private bath. All rooms are non-smoking.

You can also enjoy a hot meal or a cold beverage in the comfort and privacy of your own room. Each guest room is equipped with a convenient galley-style kitchenette complete with microwave, refrigerator, wet bar and complimentary in-room cofee.
