2008 Postcard / 2007 Conference Proceedings

This page contains details regarding Speaker and Moderator responsibilities. These responsibilities are based, in part, on the type of session that Speakers and Moderators will be participating in. A brief summary of deadlines for each role is provided below. As a reminder, an information packet containing all of the below information can be downloaded by clicking here - Speaker Information Packet or Moderator Information Packet. Individuals participating in the Poster Session should also download and read the Poster Session Guidelines.

Speakers - Speakers must submit to the NRITS conference organizers the following items:

(1) Brief biography (1-2 paragraphs) . This biography will be printed in the Conference Agenda and will be used by the session Moderators to introduce Speakers. Bios are due July 25th. They can be emailed to info@nritsconference.org.

(2) Web Agreement. Speakers are asked to sign and return the Web Posting Agreement giving permision to conference hosts to publish Conference proceedings and presentations online. If you cannot sign this agreement, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing us at info@nritsconference.org or by calling 1-866-MEET-110. Web Agreements are due August 4th.

(3) Registration. Speakers will need to register for the Conference. All speakers may take advantage of the no-cost "Speaker" rate noted on the registration form (guest and activity costs are extra). Registration forms are due August 4th. Click on the link at right for more information.

(4) Special Needs. Speakers will need to complete the Speaker Needs Form to request equipment or list other special needs. This form is due no later than August 4th.

Individuals participating in the Poster Sessions can download a copy of the Poster Session Guidelines by clicking here.

Moderators - The moderator’s role is to coordinate the speakers’ performances to produce a lively, interesting and informative session. This involves not only playing the role of master of ceremonies during the session, but also coordinating and guiding the speakers or panelists in their preparation for the event. Because there are three distinct sessions at this year’s conference – lecture, roundtable, and combined lecture/roundtable – each of the sessions requires a different approach to moderating. Full instructions/suggestions can be found by downloading the Moderator Information Packet.

Moderators will also have to provide a brief bio.

(1) Brief (1-2 paragraph) biography. This biography will be printed in the Conference Agenda. Bios are due July 25th. They can be emailed to info@nritsconference.org.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please feel free to contact Meetings Northwest, LLC at info@nritsconference.org or (toll-free) at 1-866-MEET-110.
